About RandRight
RandRight is a small, independent set of South African money calculators that help you get your rands right. We care more about getting the numbers right than about having the most pages.
How we check our figures
- Every tax rate, threshold and credit comes from an official source: SARS tax rate pages, the SARS Budget tax guide, SARS PAYE tables and guides, and the Department of Employment and Labour.
- Each rule table in our code records its source link and effective date, and each calculator shows those sources under the heading.
- Our automated tests reproduce official worked figures, including all 1 300 rows of the SARS 2027 monthly PAYE deduction table and the UIF benefit example published by the Department of Employment and Labour.
- Figures that are not set by law, such as conveyancing fees, are clearly labelled as estimates.
- Current tax year: 2026/27. Last full review: 30 October 2026. We update the site after every February Budget.
How the site is funded
The site may show clearly labelled display advertising. We do not use affiliate or referral links for financial products, we are not paid to recommend any provider, and adverts never change a calculation.
Found a mistake?
Please tell us via the contact page and include the calculator, your inputs and the figure you expected. We correct verified errors quickly.
Not advice
Our calculators give general estimates. They are not financial, tax or legal advice. See our terms.
